Ninety-four students in grades one through six at Marion Elementary School took part in "Jump Rope For Heart" during the current school year.
They raised $4,097.64 for the American Heart Association program.
The top money raiser was JayDee Schafers with $201 raised. Eight others each raised $100 or more. They are:
Alicia and Caitlyn Maloney, $160.
Matt Sprowls, $150.
Derek Scheuerman, $130.25.
Bea Holub, $128.
Montana and Shelby Percell, $125.

They earned prizes corresponding to the amounts they raised.
The students collected donations, then took part in a jump-rope unit at part of the physical education curriculum.
The money raised goes for research, public health education, fund-raising, professional education, community services and "management and general" funds.
