MHS forensics team earns league honors
Members of Marion High School forensics team placed third Monday in an MCAA league tournament.
The tournament was held at MHS with 11 teams competing.
Sarah Davidson was league champion in the informative category. Tim Schuler and Joe Svitak were league champions in improvised duet acting.
Others who placed were: Rachel Davidson, third place, oration; Sarah Davidson, third, solo humorous acting; Tim Schuler, third, solo serious acting; Trevor Jones and Michael Brookens, fourth, duet acting; Briana Vogel and Tyler Stubenhofer, fourth, improvised duet acting; and Megan Whitaker and Joe Svitak, fifth, duet acting.
Before the team competes in the state competition, a preview of the students' performances will be presented at 7:30 p.m. April 29 at Marion City Auditorium.
