MHS forensics team takes first

Marion High School forensics team took first place Saturday at the Peabody meet. Sixteen teams competed.

Fourteen MHS entries broke into the finals. They were solo humorous, Michael Brookens, first, and Nicole Nelson, third. Solo serious, Logan Fowler, second, and Jordan Timm, fourth.

Duet acting, Elisa Gayle and Luke Bowers, first, and Jenna Parli and Jandee Sharp, third; prose, Rose Taylor, first, and Michael Brookens, second.

Poetry, Jordan Timm, second, and Tedra Eis, third; IDA, Rachel Davidson and Jandee Sharp, second, Elisa Gayle, Luke Bowers, fourth.

Oration, Rachel Davidson, first. Informative, Jenna Parli, second. The team travels Saturday to Herington.

Sponsor money due

Those individuals and businesses who sponsor signs at Marion Baseball Complex must renew their sponsorships now.

The complex is undergoing $9,000 in improvements and sponsorship money is needed.
