MHS junior varsity overruns SE Saline
Marion High School junior varsity football team defeated Southeast of Saline Monday by a score of 26 to 12.
It was the season opener for the Warrior reserves.
Casey Nelson started the scoring with an eight-yard run.
Calvin Riggs led a second-half rally by the Warriors. He returned an interception early in the third quarter for a 44-yard touchdown. Tyler Stubenhofer then connected with Riggs for two third-quarter touchdown passes. The first went 53 yards and the second, 26.
Josh Smith also scored, catching a two-point conversion pass from Stubenhofer.
