Mildred Blair

Mildred I. "Millie" Blair, 78, died Jan. 18, 2004, at Herington Municipal Hospital.

Born Sept. 1, 1925, on a farm southwest of Hope, she was the daughter of Henry and Ida (Bliss) Friedli.

She graduated from Herington High School with the class of 1943.

On May 9, 1949, she married Winton O. Blair in Herington. They moved to Herington from Lost Springs in 1996.

She was a homemaker and member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Lost Springs.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cheryl Weathers; seven brothers, Albert, Robert, Cliff, Henry, John, Casper, and Lester; and six sisters, Maggie Bayes, Pearl Wangerin, Mary Cosby, Ann Abelt, Mabel Techmeyer, and Darlene Harrison.

Survivors include husband Winton of the home, two grandchildren, Robert Hanneman Jr. and Gayle Makovec; and a great-grandson.

Graveside services were held Tuesday afternoon at Ashton Cemetery west of Hope with the Rev. Lester Trusty officiating.

A memorial fund has been established with the American Heart Association.
