Millie Summervill
Mildred "Millie" Summervill, 95, died April 14, 2006, at Marion.
Born Aug. 15, 1910, on a farm near Antelope, she was the daughter of Charles and Ida (Moss) Bredemeier.
She attended Antelope and Quarry schools and graduated in 1930 from Marion High School.
She taught two years at Brown School.
On Dec. 24, 1931, she married Wesley Summervill.
The couple lived on the Summervill family farm, south of Marion County Lake, until his death in 1966.
She moved to Marion and worked in the laundry at St. Luke Hospital until her retirement in 1982.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; four sisters, Helen Bredemeier, Lola Razor, Hazel Mott, and Esther Sanders; and a brother, Charles (Junior) Bredemeier.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, John and Barbara Summervill of Hutchinson, Marion and Val Summervill of Arvada, Colo., and Mick and Marge Summervill of Marion; daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Dennis Navrat of Burbank, S.D.; sister-in-law, Lucille Bredemeier of Marion; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Marion Christian Church with the Rev. Carl Helm officiating.
Burial was in Marion Cemetery.
Memorial funds have been established with the church or with St. Luke Living Center, Marion.
