Mitchell-Dieter wedding is Dec. 21 years ago

Lenore Mitchell of Marion and Jerry Dieter of Denver, Colo., were married at 2 p.m. Dec. 21, 2002, at the Marion Christian Church.

The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. John Yates, pastor of the church.

The bride is the daughter of Lola Wheeler of Marion and the late David Wheeler. The groom is the son of the late Art and Ruby Dieter.

Music was provided by Donna Hayen, organist, Keith Collett, vocalist, and Mike Connell, trumpeter.

The bride was escorted into the sanctuary by her son, Trevor Mitchell of Tempe, Ariz.

Lou Wheeler of Denver, Colo., attended her sister as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were the groom's daughters Elizabeth Dieter of Manhattan Beach, Calif., and Rebecca Garzella of Denver, Colo., and the bride's daughter-in-law Kristen Boyle-Mitchell of Denver.

The groom's grandchildren Erin Garzella and J.J. Garzella of Denver were flower girl and ring bearer, respectively.

Larry Dieter of Phoenix, Ariz, served his brother as best man. Groomsmen were the groom's son Bill Dieter of Lexington, Ky., his son-in-law Jack Garzella of Denver, and the bride's son Kent Mitchell of Denver.

Guests were seated by Trevor Mitchell and Steve Krispense and Mick Summervill of Marion.

Martha Krispense of Marion was the guest book attendant and Marge Summervill of Marion was in charge of the gifts.

A reception followed in the church's fellowship hall.

The couple will reside in Marion upon the groom's retirement in March 2004.
