MMS volleyball squad closes out season
Marion Middle School volleyball team closed out its season this past week.
They defeated Chase County 15-11, 15-7 in the Cottonwood Valley Junior League tournament. The team lost to Herington 8-15, 15-12, 11-15; Wichita Independent 13-15, 10-15; and Council Grove 12-15, 8-15.
They fell Thursday to Southeast of Saline to end the regular season. The A team lost 10-15, 15-7, 14-16. The B team won 10-15, 15-8, 15-7. Both C teams also won, C1 by the score of 15-9, 15-2 and C2, 10-15, 16-14, 15-5.
