Model planes reported stolen from residence
Hillsboro Police Department was notified by Marty Radar of 304 N. Jefferson Street that someone had entered a residence at 207 N. Lincoln Street and removed model airplanes valued at $600. The residence had been secure at the time and there were no signs of forced entry. The theft occurred between April 2 and Thursday. Radar was moving from the Lincoln residence at the time of the theft.
April 2: Hillsboro Fire Department received assistance with a rescue in the 800 block of East D Street, Hillsboro. EMS received assistance in the 800 block of South Washington Street. A domestic disturbance was reported in the 300 block of North Birch Street. A trespass complaint was filed in the 500 block of South Lincoln Street.
Monday: A commercial alarm was activated in the 400 block of East Grand Street. A dog complaint was made in the 100 block of South Cedar Street. Assistance was provided to Hillsboro Fire Department with a compost fire in the 300 block of South Birch Street.
Tuesday: Vandalism was reported in Memorial Park when workers found a 20-foot ash tree had been chopped down with an ax; the loss was estimated at $1,000. An officer provided a camper hookup. A 911 disconnect in the 500 block of East D Street was checked. A subject was arrested for outstanding warrants following a domestic disturbance in the 300 block of West Third Street. An emergency message was delivered in the 700 block of South Washington Street.
Wednesday: A threat complaint in Hillsboro Heights was filed as a civil complaint. A traffic complaint was made in the 500 block of East D Street when a subject was reported yelling and "hanging out" of a moving vehicle. A 911 disconnect was checked in the 800 block of West Grand Street. A dog complaint was filed in the 200 block of North Lincoln Street. A child welfare check was performed per McPherson Police Department. A domestic disturbance was reported in the 100 block of North Adams Street. A commercial alarm was activated in the 500 block of East Grand Street.
Friday: A report was made of juveniles smoking in an alley near Hillsboro High School. A missing juvenile who did not arrive at school had returned home at a later time.
Saturday: Hillsboro Fire Department received assistance with a fuel spill in the 500 block of East Grand Street. Wichita authorities received assistance with a juvenile who had run away. A dog complaint was made in the 300 block of South Ash Street. Hillsboro High School personnel reported a window in gym door at HHS had been broken around 7:30 p.m. The loss was valued at $500.
