Moore, Skiles named students of the month

Megan Moore and Braxton Skiles have been named students of the month by the Marion High School faculty.

Moore, a junior, is the daughter of Mike and Gail Moore of Florence. Mike is a veterinarian and Gail is his assistant. She has an older sister, Angie, who graduated from MHS in 1999, and a younger sister, Carroll, who is 11.

At MHS Megan has been involved in volleyball, basketball, softball, track, and weightlifting. She is a member of National Honor Society. Her hobbies include fourwheeling, jet skiing, and softball.

Plans include playing softball in college and earning a master's degree.

Skiles, a senior, is the son of Bruce Skiles, nurse anesthetist and chiropractor, and Belinda Skiles, homemaker. His older sister, Bailey, is a 1999 MHS graduate.

He attends Valley United Methodist Church and is a member of the youth group.

Braxton has been on the football, basketball, and track teams all four years. He is a two-time state triple jump champion, a member of the National Honor Society, and senior class treasurer.

Hobbies include sports, paintball, and hanging out with friends. He works at Marion Swimming Pool as a lifeguard.

He plans to pursue studies to become a nurse anesthetist.
