Mueller siblings gather for annual dinner

Art and Betty Mueller, Edna Mueller, and Phyllis Mueller attended the annual dinner of Mueller siblings Sunday at the home of Edwin and Alice Winter in Hillsboro. Others present were Paula Fike of Ramona, Agnes Steinert of Hillsboro, Lawrence and Ruth Mueller of Iola, and Richard and Doris Ott of Golden, Mo. Warren Fike and Maxine Mueller were unable to attend.

The three sons of Ronald and Kaylene Mueller competed Saturday in their third tournament this season with the Hillsboro Kids Wrestling Club at Lincoln. Nicholas took first in the 12-and-under, 110-pound class with a record of 3-0 with two pinfalls; his overall record is 7-2 with five pinfalls. Darren placed second in the 10-and-under, 110-pound category with a 2-0 record and one pinfall; his overall record is 6-1 with four pinfalls. Bret tied for third in the 10-and-under, 64-pound class with a record of 1-3 with one pinfall; his overall record is 2-8 with one pinfall.

New Year's Day dinner guests of Adeline Bernhardt were Leona Kleiber and Esther Klein.

Dinner guests of Reuben and Lucille Kerbs New Year's Day were Glenn and Eloise Kerbs, Reuben and Clayton and Cristy Cammack of Dodge City, Tim and Marchelle Kerbs, April and Molly, Ashton Kerbs, and Jesse Smith of Salina, Doug and Connie Thompson, Allison and Taylor of Abilene, and Russ and Julie Kerbs and Rustyn. The family opened Christmas gifts in the afternoon. Later all enjoyed a 25th anniversary cake and ice cream in celebration of Glenn and Eloise's wedding anniversary.

Frank and Anna Mae Stika and Ronnie and Lisa Hanschu were New Year's dinner guests of Tom and Lori Moldenhauer and Nikki.

New Year's dinner guests of Jim and Mary Clemmer and Ron Clemmer were Dale and Sandy Clemmer and Cassie and their house guest Charlie Clemmer, Jake Bach and Shawn, and Karin Clemmer and Blayke.

Martha Melcher and Eleanor Murphy were New Year's Eve visitors of Helen Schwartzman.

Lynn and Peggy Kleiber, Amanda, Andrea, and Nicholas were frequent visitors of Leona Kleiber during the holiday season.

Lola and Jack Ware of White City met Art and Betty Mueller in Herington Dec. 29 for dinner out.

Stephanie Classen of Marion, Eleanor Murphy and Martha Melcher were Dec. 28 evening visitors of Helen Schwartzman.

Nicholas Kleiber spent Dec. 30 and 31 with his grandmother Leona Kleiber.

Adeline Bernhardt and Leona Kleiber visited Dec. 29 with Milda Krauter at Marion Manor.

Nikki Stenzel was honored Dec. 26 and 27 with a birthday celebration at Holiday Inn in Salina. Staying overnight were Tom and Lori Moldenhauer, Frank and Anna Mae Stika, and James and Anna Weber. Lisa Hanschu and Kaitlyn Sly joined them on Dec. 26. Activities included movies, swimming, games, dinner out, and cookies and ice cream.

Lucille Kerbs visited Dec. 26 with Connie Thompson, Allison and Taylor in Abilene. All enjoyed breakfast out and shopping.

Jane Vajnar was a Dec. 26 overnight guest of Delbert and Madeline Stuive of Salina. The next day she went to Kanopolis to spend the rest of the weekend with Marc and Wendy Stroede. She also visited Elizabeth and Jennifer Copp and Jon and Wanda Sneath and Karl and stopped to see Margaret Gourley.

Christmas dinner and supper guests of Frank and Anna Mae Stika were Tom and Lori Moldenhauer and Nikki and Ronnie and Lisa Hanschu, James and Anna.

Jim and Mary Clemmer were Christmas Day guests of Dale and Sandy Clemmer and Cassie of Salina and L/Cpl. Charlie Clemmer, who was home on leave from the Marines. Jake Bach was an additional guest.

Christmas supper guests of Leona Kleiber were Anthony and Sara Hanson of Fayetteville, N.C., Daniel and Melissa Stuchlik of Wichita, Jill Vinduska of Manhattan, Becky Routh, Melody, Allison, and Danielle of Augusta, Terry and Cindy Vinduska, and Lynn and Peggy Kleiber, Amanda, Andrea, and Nicholas.

Helen Schwartzman was a Christmas dinner guest of John and Pat Schwartzman of Salina. Others present included their weekend guests, Eric and Robyn Huff and Morgan from Texas and Wayne and Marita Schwartzman of Wichita.

Greg Sklenar of Wichita spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with Lois Sklenar and Valerie Hampton. They returned with him and stayed through Saturday with Lois Young of Wichita.

Reuben and Lucille Kerbs visited Russ and Julie Kerbs and family Christmas Day.

Adeline Bernhardt spent Dec. 21-29 visiting Carl and Kathy Hubbard and Clint of Wellington and Barney and Linda Bernhardt and Megan of Wichita. On Sunday evening, Andrea King, Adeline, and the Hubbards went to Winfield to see the Isle of Lights. All enjoyed a movie and shopping on Tuesday. Paul, Diane, Melinda, and Megan Ring of Belton, Texas, were Christmas Eve overnight guests of the Hubbards, and all attended a candlelight service at the church. Adeline joined the Barney Bernhardt family Christmas Day for dinner and a gift exchange. In the afternoon she, along with Chris and Dee Anna Stout and Gabrielle of Wichita and Donna Hubbard of Wellington, joined Carl and Kathy Hubbard and Clint for supper and gift exchange. Kathy accompanied her mother to Marion Saturday to visit Milda Krauter at Marion Manor.

Jane Vajnar was a Christmas dinner guest of Laura Legg, Clayton and Cassie of Marion. Other guests included Brandon Legg, Twila Legg and Joey of Tampa, and Randy from Herington.

Russ and Julie Kerbs, Ashton and Rustyn and Jesse Smith visited Reuben and Lucille Kerbs Christmas Eve after the children's Christmas program at church.

Frank and Anna Mae Stika, Tom and Lori Moldenhauer, and Ronnie and Lisa Hanschu, James and Anna attended the children's program Christmas Eve at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Herington. The Stikas also attended a candlelight service there with the Moldenhauers and a Christmas Eve service at the Methodist church in Hope with the Hanschus.
