Native of Lincolnville honored as KSU Alumni Fellow
Every year, Kansas State University honors alumni from every department who have distinguished themselves in their career.
Terry Krause, formerly of Lincolnville, is being recognized in 2006 as an alumni fellow from the College of Technology and Aviation.
Krause is a 1979 graduate of Centre High School. He obtained an associate's degree in computer engineering from the former Kansas Technical Institute in 1986.
Soon after, he was employed by Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation (WCNOC), which operates Kansas' only nuclear power plant. He went on to earn a bachelor's degree in technology management from K-State in 2000.
Krause is quality manager at Wolf Creek. He is responsible for managing quality assurance, quality control, and procurement quality organizations.
In 2001, Krause received a SCNOC President's Award as one of seven employees chosen for outstanding dedication and achievement.
In addition to being active in several nuclear power industry organizations and task groups, he has been involved in many community and K-State organizations.
He is past board member of the K-State Alumni Association and past president of the Flint Hills Area Catbacker Club.
Krause is the son of the late Paul and Velma Krause of Lincolnville. He and his wife Erin reside in Emporia. They have two sons and a daughter.
