Neva Pierce
Neva L. Pierce, 94, died Nov. 6, 2002, at Dodge City.
She was the widow of Wallace E. Pierce, formerly of Marion, who died Dec. 1, 1960
Born July 23, 1908, at Marion, she was the daughter of Nichols Joseph and Mary Ann Lewellen Schlingloff. She married Wallace Pierce Oct. 3, 1926, at Marion.
She had been a Dodge City resident since 1973, formerly living at Wichita, Arkansas City, Winfield, Kansas City, and Minneola.
She had been a supervisor for the dietary department at the KU Medical Center.
Services were held Saturday morning at First Baptist Church in Dodge City with burial Monday afternoon in Marion Cemetery.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Howard Schlingloff, sister Katherine Posey, and three half-brothers, Alvin, Howard, and Roy Penland. She is survived by two daughters, Frances Koenke of Dodge City and Betty Cox of Missouri City, Texas; four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
