New sauce category has 34 entries years ago
The sauce category at the Florence Labor Day BBQ Contest drew 34 entries and "Broken K BBQ" of Dodge City took top honors and the $250 prize.
"Dr. John and Harriet's Hogs," John and Harriet Fontana of Topeka, were reserve champions and received a check for $150.
Third place went to Tom Rodgers "Blue Collar BBQ" of Wichita. He received a check for $100.
Entries were received from Tampa, Towanda, El Dorado, Potwin, and Wichita.
