Novak promoted to colonel in Army
William R. Novak II, son of Bill and Dollye Novak of Lost Springs, has been promoted to the rank of colonel in the U. S. Army.
Colonel Novak is a systems manager for the Army Medical Department Center and School at Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas.
The colonel graduated from Centre High School in 1974, received an associate degree from Kemper Military College, Boonville, Mo., in 1976, earned a bachelor's degree from Emporia State University and a master's degree from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, in 1988.
His wife, Janet, is the daughter Janet Wrieden of St. Deerfield Beach, Fla.
