Obornys host Sunday dinner

Dan and Kim Oborny and family hosted Sunday dinner at their home. Their guests included Father Paul Oborny of McPherson, Jim Oborny of New Mexico, George and Kathleen Oborny, David and Sam Oborny and family, John and Kathy Oborny, Diane Oborny, Mike and Sharon Benda, and Julie and Val Klenda and family.
George and Kathleen Oborny attended the FFA supper and slave auction Monday evening at Centre High School.
Don and Carolyn Meerian of Overbrook came Sunday and spent until Tuesday as houseguests of Margaret and Ed Vinduska. Carolyn and Don visited with Lou and Ruby Vinduska Monday morning.
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Noone were Thursday dinner guests of Ruth and Mark Sloyer of Wichita.
Amelia Vinduska accompanied Margaret Jirak to Mass in Marion Feb. 25 after which they visited residents of Marion Manor. Calling on Amelia during the week were Ken Vinduska, Bud and Rose Vinduska, Bill Schimpf, Terry and Tyler Klenda, Margie and Arthur Stroda, Dylan Svitak, Rosemary Neuwirth, John Spachek, Debbie and Andrea Shipman, and William Benda.
Dr. Jerry Vinduska and Gene Vinduska called on Dr. and Mrs. Eugene Vinduska Sunday afternoon.
Dwayne and Delores Stroda of Herington called on LaVada Holub Wednesday evening. They enjoyed supper together in Hillsboro. LaVada spent the weekend in Newton helping care for her great-grandchildren.
Darla and Kaylee Kasper and Kevin Searle of Newton called on the Lloyd Sklenars Sunday afternoon. Dustin Stevens of Rose Hill spent the weekend with Lloyd and Carole.
Teresa Hill attended the site council meeting at Centre Elementary School Tuesday afternoon. Teresa and Cassidy met Hazel Clothier in Florence Monday, then they drove to Newton on business.
Irene Tajchman returned home Sunday evening after spending a week in San Diego, Calif., visiting with her daughter, Rose.
Sharon Kuhn of Wichita spent Sunday with her parents, Edmund and Mary Lou Kroupa. Martin and Kimbra Kroupa and children were additional dinner guests.
Robert and Karen Konarik drove to Manhattan Wednesday evening and had dinner with their daughter, Marie.
Paul and Alice Meysing spent Saturday at the home of Greg and Darla Meysing caring for the children.
On Friday, JoAnn Nowak accompanied Kevin, Judy, and Kristen Steinborn to the Flower and Garden Show at Century.
Terry and Cindy Vinduska spent Saturday visiting their daughter, Jill, in Manhattan.
Dean and Pat Bina attended the Lawn and Garden Show in Wichita Thursday.
Joe Tajchman attended the combined meeting of Holy Family Parish committees Thursday evening at the Marion activity center. Joe attended the API dinner and meeting Friday evening in Tampa.
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Tajchman and Jenna attended the FFA barbecue dinner, auction and alumni meeting Monday evening at Centre High School.
Joan Stroda of Navarre and Gemma Davies of Marion visited Millie Vinduska Thursday afternoon. Maggie Vinduska and friend Becky Crouger of Emporia visited with Millie and Lillie Friday and Sunday afternoons. Maggie and Becky were Thursday evening and Friday houseguests of Magdalen Dvorak.
Magdalen Dvorak attended the birthday dinner in Tampa Sunday honoring Eleanor Murphy.
The John Goentzel family attended the carnival Saturday evening at Marion Elementary School. John, Marlene, Daniel, and Elizabeth drove to Tipton Sunday to visit Marlene's mother, Mary Pfeiffer, whose birthday was Saturday.
Vernie and Eugene Konecny drove to McPherson Thursday. Charlene Svitak visited Vernie Monday afternoon.
