Olinda Klein
Olinda M. Klein, 91, died Feb. 28, 2007, at Marion.
Born Aug. 13, 1915, at Durham, she was the daughter of Jacob and Kathrina (Winter) Brunner. She grew up in the Durham community and lived her entire life in Marion County.
On Feb. 12, 1936, she married Henry Klein at Durham. The couple lived and farmed south of Marion from 1943-1967, moving to Marion in 1967.
She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, the Dorcas Society, AAL, and VFW Auxiliary Post 6958.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Joan Bowers; and brothers, Clarence and Junior.
Survivors include three daughters, Arlene and Vernon Bowers and Kathleen and Bill Goentzel, all of Marion, and Henrietta of Marquette; 13 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday at Our Savior Lutheran Church with the Rev. Brett Huebner officiating.
Brenda McGinness was the organist. Keith Collett was vocalist.
Casket bearers were her grandsons, Michael Bowers, Troy Bowers, Jock Bowers, Jeff Goentzel, Christopher Stinchcomb, Blaine Stinchcomb Jr., and Bobby Chestnut.
Burial was in Marion Cemetery.
