Organizations donate funds to auxiliary
Two organizations were recognized Thursday by St. Luke Hospital Auxiliary for donating money toward hospital improvements.
Members of a quilters group from Eastmoor United Methodist Church and 20th Century Club were acknowledged for contributions that will be used for improvements to the hospital's waiting area.
The quilters donated $200 and the club donated $250.
In other business:
— Tickets are available for a tea and vintage wedding dress show from 2 to 4 p.m. July 16 at Marion Presbyterian Church. The cost is $10 per ticket and there is limited seating.
Members of the auxiliary and community will model vintage wedding dresses.
Proceeds from the event will be used toward the purchase of anesthesia equipment.

— President Judy Reno announced Heidi Zogelman, Florence, and Andrea Stahlecker, Lincolnville, were this year's scholarship recipients.
— Caring for the Caregivers meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the clinic basement. Noreen Weems, director of Marion County Department for Elderly, will be the speaker and will present information about services available in the county for the elderly.
— Nancy Farmer of Hoisington and coordinator of District 4 was in attendance.
