OSD: Class reunions listed

Representatives of Marion High School classes celebrating with reuniones during the Old Settlers' Day weekend are asked to submit information to the Marion County Record.

Class of 1961

Marion High School class of 1961 will have a 45th class reunion Old Settlers' Day weekend.

The group will meet at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 29 for snacks and visiting at the home of Skip and Eileen Sieger.

They will line up for the parade at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 30. Class members are encouraged to have lunch in Central Park then take part in the class introductions at the gazebo in the afternoon.

A dinner will be held at 6:30 that evening at Burns Community Building, Burns.

Reservations are necessary and may be made by calling Eileen Sieger, 620-382-2032, by Sept. 15.

Class of 1966

MHS Class of 1966 will observe their 40th class reunion Old Settlers' Day weekend.

They will meet at 7 p.m. Sept. 29 at the home of Stan and Donna May for snacks and drinks. Those attending should bring lawn chairs.

Class members should gather at 10 a.m. Saturday on Walnut Street near Emmanuel Baptist Church for the parade. Class members are asked to wear red, white, or blue shirts.

They will participate in the class recognition ceremony at 2:30 p.m. at the gazebo in Central Park.

A social hour and dinner will begin at 5 p.m. at Country Dreams Bed and Breakfast, northeast of Marion.
