Pancake days are Saturday, Nov. 8

Pancakes, sausage, eggs, etc., will be served from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday and Nov. 8 at the Burdick Legion hall. The sponsors will be the American Legion Auxiliary and American Legion. Breakfast will be by donations.

The American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Eldon and Isla Rose Nelson of Lost Springs and Mr. and Mrs. Doc Hartke of Herington met Eunice and Bill Milbroth of Minneapolis, Minn., Wednesday in Herington for dinner.

Bill Peterson of Herington took Wendell and Mary Deane Peterson to Wichita to see Wanda Huyler, Donlie and Norma Tanner, Jim Tanner, and houseguests, Carol Severns of Cherry Valley, Colo., and Susan Huyler of Somerset, N.J.

Dr. and Mrs. Larry Peterson of Granby Colo., and Josh Peterson and Kate Weimer of Grand Lake, Colo., came Thursday evening to stay with Neva Peterson until Sunday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Deneault of Salina came Friday evening with Neva. All but Neva attended the KSU vs. KU football game in Manhattan Saturday afternoon.

Leota Huff of London, Ky., Ellie Otte of Herington, Mr. and Mrs. Monte Carl of Wilsey, and Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Peterson enjoyed a "class of 1945" reunion Tuesday evening in Herington.

Roby Riggin and Bailey of Parsons, Marc Baker, Riggin and Cole of Lawrence, Rusty Riggin of Hutchinson, C.J. and Pat Baker of Salina were weekend guests of Ruth Riggin. Time was spent trimming trees, burning them, and mending things around the place.

Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Strand and Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Peterson were in Manhattan and Junction City for appointments.

Teresa Hageberg and Phillip and friend Kenny Roberts of Topeka were Friday night and Saturday guests of Gary and Marilyn Hageberg. They came to attend the wedding of Gene Hageberg and Jacqueline Peale Saturday morning at Burdick Methodist Church. Mike and Denice Hageberg, Steven and Trevor spent the afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Gary Hageberg after the wedding.

Barbara and Glenn Knuth of Emporia, Gary and Joan Wernecke and Bryan Wernecke of Atlanta, Ga., Esther Wernecke of White City, Mike and Linda Carlson of Burdick, Jean Brunner of Lost Springs, and Charles and Arlene Carlson of Burdick were Tuesday evening guests of Ken and Alice Peterson in Herington.

Charles and Arlene Carlson visited Saturday with Kent and Jean Brunner and Jill Brunner and Tucker.
