Don't forget the hunters feed from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Ramona Senior Center.

The Ramona Fire Department also is going to have a pancake, sausage, and juice feed at the Ramona Senior Center from 5 to 9 a.m. Saturday.

Becky Lehnerr and son of Plymouth visited her mother Patricia Zinn this past weekend.

My son Lowell of San Antonio, Texas, called Sunday evening. He said it was raining at the time and that they are tired of rain. I told him we have been having to live with cloud cover and rain for 10 days. Isn't it nice to have sunshine and also a heavy frost. I picked four large tomatoes in my garden yesterday.

It was so sad to hear of the death of Brain Pagenkopf. He was the son of Mark Pagenkopf of Lincolnville and Kaye Risser of Hope. His funeral was Monday morning at the Lincolnville Lutheran church.

Bob and Irma Reznicek visited Charles and Mary Loewen at Hillsboro Monday night. Bob and Irma also attended the pie supper at St. John's Catholic Church in Herington hosted by the CYO.

Larry Rudolph visited his sister Mary Black, Micky and Lance in Herington Saturday night. Larry fed my cattle Sunday evening and was my supper guest.

Mervin and Jeff Deines attended Brian Pagenkopf's funeral Monday.

Barbara Cook of Langdon called on her mother Patricia Zinn on Monday and took her to the doctor.

Grandchildren, as well as parents, came to Junior and Jeanetta Hanschu's Saturday afternoon dressed in Halloween costumes. Present were Jayson and Jan Hanschu, Jakob and Jorge of Hillsboro, Jeff and Jennifer Braden and Joshua of Windom, and Neil and Jolene Albrecht and Kallie of Salina. All stayed for supper. Jeff, Jennifer, and Josh stayed overnight and went home Sunday.

Junior Hanschu said Rick Hanschu helped him get his cattle out of the pasture south of Herington Monday morning. Junior helped Rick in the afternoon to get some of his cattle home from the pasture. They weren't able to put too many cattle in their trailers because the ground is so soft.

Alex and Jean Stuchlik went to All Saints Day services at the Pilsen Catholic church Thursday. On the way home, they stopped at the home of Gary and Jo Ann Stuchlik near Pilsen to see their children dressed in their Halloween costumes. Alex told me they received 40th wedding anniversary greeting from my sister, Victoria Zell of Shelby, Mont. When my sister arrived at her home after visiting her daughter Carla and husband Gene Schade in Malaysia in October, she decided to mail the wishes to Alex who was her third grade pupil when she taught at Pleasant Hill District 93.
