Parazin wedding
Carrie Noelle Collett and Christopher Vincent Parazin were married Nov. 2, 2002, at Church of the Ascension, Overland Park. The Rev. Larry Albertson officiated at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Randal and Rachel Collett of Jefferson City, Mo., and granddaughter of Howard and Beth Collett of Marion and the late Marjorie Collett. The bridegroom is the son of Robert and Ann Parazin of Richland, Wash.
Lucy Collett of Marion and Audrey Gravenstein of Nevada City, Calif., were candlelighters.
Keith Collett of Marion and Randy Collett were soloists.
The bride wore a full-length, short sleeved satin gown accented with beading on the bodice and encircling the chapel-length train. Her cathedral-length veil was attached to a tiara of pearls and sequins.
Julie Bulleigh of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., attended the bride as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Beth Pope of Jefferson City, Julia Hunsaker of Portland, Ore., and Maggie Collett of Jefferson City.
The groom's best man was Ray Parazin of Cottage Grove, Minn. Other attendants were John McFadden of Alexandria, Va., Jim Schiemedeler of Iowa City, Iowa, and Zach Collett of Jefferson City.
Guests book attendants were Kate Erickson, Liz Erickson, and Elizabeth Gravenstein, all of Manhattan, and Megan Gravenstein of Nevada City, Calif.
A dinner reception was held at St. Andrews Golf Club in Overland Park, followed by a dance in the evening.
The bride is a graduate of Kansas State University and received a master's degree in counseling from the University of Kansas. She is employed by the Shawnee Mission School District as a social studies teacher.
The groom is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a degree in electrical engineering. He is employed by Motorola.
The couple honeymooned in St. Lucia and reside in Olathe.
