Patience grows thin
Is your patience growing thin? Are you tired of solicitation by telephone and unwanted junk mail? The problem can be solved.
Computer generated phone calls to sell products are the bane of those who have grown tired of their home hours being interrupted by an unwanted telemarketing call.
The same people also are tired of receiving a stack of mail, daily, mostly so called "flyers" or advertising, which they didn't order, won't read, and toss in the trash.
You can eliminate both problems with one request.
To stop those unwanted phone calls and mailings, send your request to the following address: Direct Marketing Association, PO Box 9008, Farmingdale NY 11735.
One letter covers both telephone and mail service abuses. State in your letter that you want to be taken off both, "telephone preference" and "mail preference" services.
Give them your full name, mailing address (including ZIP), and telephone number (include area code).
Request DMA to remove your address and telephone number from the lists. Sign the letter and mail it.
It takes about 90 days to become effective. So, do it now to stop the annoyances before hot weather — when tempers run short.
