Paul Enns named honorary cadet
Paul Enns, a sophomore at Wichita East High School, recently was named JROTC District Honorary Cadet.
Junior Reserve Officer's Training Corps is a military-regulated high school program with the purpose to educate high school students in leadership roles while making them aware of the benefits of citizenship.
An outstanding sophomore JROTC cadet is nominated from each high school in Wichita based on citizenship activities, leadership skills, involvement and performance in the JROTC program, military bearing, and overall academic performance.
Each cadet is then required to appear before a review board of JROTC instructors, community and civic leaders. A district honorary cadet is selected from the nominees, representing all branches of military JROTC.
Paul is the son of Sue Enns of Wichita and the grandson of Jim and Donna Fruechting, Marion.
