Pearl Kinsinger
Pearl Kinsinger, 80, died April 30, 2002, at Marion Manor, from injuries received in a car accident.
Born Oct. 3, 1921, at Cottonwood Falls, she was the daughter of Blanche and George Baumgardner.
Her father died when she was eight years old and she was raised by her mother and other family members.
She married Junior Bucher in August 1940. He was in the U.S. Army Air Corps and stationed throughout the country and overseas. Pearl followed him when possible. The couple had two children, Nancy and Larry.
Pearl met Bob Kinsinger and they were married in 1979 and made their home in Marion. After the death of her husband, she became active at Marion Senior Center activities and met Les Fruechting.
Through the years she had been a dental assistant, worked in retail business, and for a hospital linen service.
She enjoyed fishing and camping in her early years and enjoyed spending time at Marion Senior Center where she played cards and participated in other activities.
She attended Aulne United Methodist Church when she was able. She was a member of the United Methodist Church at Cottonwood Falls.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Kinsinger; two brothers, Glenn and Gene Baumgardner; a granddaughter, Mechelle Kinsinger; and her companion, Les Fruechting.
Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Seward of Shawnee; son, Larry Bucher of Gilmer, Texas; stepdaughter, Suzie Cawthorn of El Dorado; stepson, Tom Kinsinger of El Dorado; four grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Bonnie Pracht of Hughs Springs, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Zeiner Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Dyar officiating. Burial was in Marion Cemetery.
Vocal music was provided by the Aulne Boys, Kevin and Mike Fruechting and Lyle Leppke. They were accompanied by Donna Hayen.
Casket bearers were Jay Seward, Freeman Seward, Glenn Parks, Cameron Parks, Johnnie Cawthorn IV, and Dick Pracht.
A memorial fund has been established with Marion Senior Center.
