Peterson, Salazar are wed in April 30 ceremony years ago
Kelli Peterson and Cesar Salazar, both of Wichita, were married in a six o'clock ceremony April 30 at Hebron Lutheran Church, Burdick.
Parents of the bride are Bud and Maureen Peterson of Burdick. The groom's parents are Mercedes Gonzalez of Mexico and the late Mario Salazar. His honorary parents are Cebero and Evanjelina Peralta of Wichita.
Pastor John Gerry officiated at the double ring ceremony.
Bill Peterson of Herington sang "Parents' Prayer" and "Lord's Prayer." Phil Peterson of Burdick sang "God Bless the Broken Road," and "Let Them Be Little." Accompanists were Linda Carlson of Burdick and Judy Peterson of Herington.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents and wore a white satin empire-style beaded top and long skirt with a train.
She carried white oriental lilies, lavender and white freesia, and lavender larkspur.
Jennifer Schrader of Wichita was her sister's matron of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride's sister, Lisa Beye of Herington, Bonnie Hastings of Oklahoma, and Emily Peterson of Lincoln, Neb., and Sara Denly of Winfield, cousins of the bride. The bride's niece, Chelsea Cowart of Herington was a junior bridesmaid.
Attendants wore sage satin dresses with A-line skirts and spaghetti straps and crepe shawls over their shoulders.
The bride's niece, Shae Schrader of Wichita was the flower girl. The couple's son, Rigo Salazar of Wichita and Hunter Schrader of Wichita, the bride's nephew, were ring bearers.
Levi Lara of Wichita served the groom as best man. Groomsmen were Manuel Perez, Antonio Perez, Juan Gonzalez, and Luis Avila, all of Wichita.
The bride's nephew, Cuyler Cowart of Herington, was a junior groomsman.
Ushers were the bride's brothers-in-law, Bret Beye of Herington and Ron Schrader of Wichita and the bride's cousins, Eric and Scott Peterson of Lincolnville.
Denise Lott and Sherri Hein of Wichita were guest book attendants.
Samantha and Elizabeth Beye of Herington and Josie Peterson of Lincolnville were in charge of gifts.
A reception and dance, hosted by Marvin Peterson and Shelly Crowder, was held at Herington Community Building.
The bride is a manager at Applebee's Restaurant. Her husband also is employed there.
The couple enjoyed a wedding trip to Branson, Mo.
