Pilsen benefit dinner is well-attended

The Pilsen Community benefit dinner Sunday was well attended.

Damien Svitak and Jenni Stevens of Manhattan visited Randy and Kathy Svitak Sunday afternoon.

The Kevin Hill family and Margie and Billy Joe Williams enjoyed supper together Saturday evening at the home of Hazel Clothier.

Mr. and Mrs. Helmut Wituk drove to Wichita Saturday and were guests of Scott, Joy, and Emma Wituk. Additional guests were Jason, Krista, Maddie, and Braden Wituk. They all celebrated Joy's birthday at the Pizza Hut.

George and Patsy Waner were Sunday dinner guests of Steve, Ann, and Claire Buckendahl. Additional dinner and afternoon guests were Gary, Emily, Kristy, and Breanna Singleton of Rose Hill and Emily's mother. Ann prepared a Persian cuisine dinner. Paul Meysing visited George and Patsy Wednesday afternoon.

Edmund and Mary Lou Kroupa visited Theo Kroupa and Irene Novak Saturday and Monday at the Hillsboro extended care center.

Marie Konarik, a K-State student, spent Monday visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Konarik and their houseguest, LaDonna Kirkendall.

Pat and Dean Bina attended the flea market Sunday at the Kansas Coliseum and enjoyed Chinese food in Newton before returning home.

LaVada Holub visited Tom and Sandy Holub Sunday evening.

Bernard and Pauline Meysing visited Alice and Paul Meysing Sunday afternoon. Patsy Waner called on Paul and Alice during the week.

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Nowak drove to Wichita Tuesday evening and visited Jim and Jennifer Frasher and family. They went especially to help Luke celebrate his first birthday. Joe and JoAnn drove to Salina Monday and visited Jackie Gengler.

JoAnn Stroda visited her sister Millie Vinduska Wednesday afternoon.

Mark Vinduska, son of Joe and Tish Vinduska, spent the weekend in Emporia with his sister Maggie Vinduska. Maggie brought him home Monday and visited Millie Vinduska.

George and Charlene Svitak visited with Sylvia Bezdek Sunday evening. Sylvia attended the soup, sandwich, and pie dinner Sunday at the Hope Catholic church.

Paulette and Gerald Holub of Hesston visited George and Charlene Svitak Sunday afternoon.

Amelia Vinduska and Margaret Jirak visited Monday morning with Agnes Bina at St. Luke Living Center.

Amelia Vinduska's visitors during the week were Millie Vinduska, Margie Stroda, Emily Staatz, Ken Vinduska, and Arthur Stroda. Margie and Arthur Stroda visited Amelia Vinduska Sunday after Mass.

Wendy, Tracy, Jimmy, Rosalie, and Kaylynn Rudolph, Deb and Scott Steward, and Lucille, Billy, and Timmy Olson bowled Saturday in a scotch doubles tournament at the Peabody Lanes. Members of the team received some nice prizes.

Members of Holy Family CYO will continue to meet at 7:30 p.m. the first Wednesday of every month in the Marion activity center.

Steve and Jeannie Blue and family of Salina were weekend houseguests of Mr. and Mrs. George Oborny.

David and Sam Oborny and family hosted a dinner Sunday evening honoring their son Thomas on his 8th birthday. Their guests included George and Kathleen Oborny, Steve and Jeannie Blue and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Val Klenda and family.

Darla and Kaylee Kasper and Kevin Searl were Sunday afternoon guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Sklenar.

Teresa and Nellie Hill hosted the Lincolnville Wide-Awake 4-H meeting Sunday afternoon at the home of Ruth Ann Carlson.

Simon Makovec attended Guard Weekend at Newton.

The Gail Makovec family attended the Tampa Triple T's 4-H meeting Monday night. The family attended the Centre basketball game at Centre Tuesday evening and the game at Wakefield Friday evening. Shaina is a team member and also a cheerleader.
