Pilsen: Many attend Peters-Schmidt wedding

Family and friends attended the marriage of Jillyn Kay Peters and Tray Gabriel Schmidt at the Klenda farm Saturday evening. A reception followed the garden wedding.
Father Paul Oborny was a Thursday dinner guest of his brother, George Oborny.
Dr. Gerald and Heather Vinduska and children brought pizza to the home of Dr. Eugene and Verna Vinduska Sunday evening. The evening was spent visiting.
Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Steinborn and children of Marion were Sunday dinner guests of Joe and JoAnn Nowak after Mass.
Magdalen Dvorak and Amelia Vinduska led crafts at St. Luke Living Center Tuesday afternoon.
Amelia Vinduska accompanied Margie Stroda to Marion Wednesday. They attended Mass at Marion Manor and spent some time visiting with the residents.
Ken Vinduska, Gerry Vinduska, and Vernie Konecny visited with Amelia Vinduska during the week. Marilyn Monk and Genevieve Steiner of Wichita visited with Amelia Saturday evening. Margie and Arthur Stroda called on her Sunday morning after Mass.
Joe and JoAnn Nowak will be celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary Sept. 7 with a Mass celebrated by Father John Jirak at 7 p.m. in St. John Nep. Church in Pilsen. A reception and dance will follow at 8:30 p.m. in the Pilsen Activity Center. Relatives and friends are invited to join them for their celebration.
Anna and Jordan Laurin were Saturday and overnight guests of the Joe Tajchman family.
Barbara Tajchman attended the FFA Alumni Executive Committee meeting Tuesday evening in Lincolnville.
A large group of Tampa State Bank patrons attended the hog roast and dance sponsored by the bank Saturday evening.
Greg and Donna Spachek of Wichita spent Saturday with John Spachek. Larry and Donna Erpelding of Manhattan visited on Sunday with John.
George, Genevieve, and Marilyn Monk visited Saturday evening with John Spachek.
Marilyn Monk and Genevieve Spachek visited Saturday evening with Amelia Vinduska.
Dan and Marcia Falen called on Sylvia Bezdek Sunday afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Sklenar drove to Newton Friday evening and visited with Darla and Kaylee Kasper and Kevin Searl and Annie, a friend of Darla's. They also visited with Russ, Yvonne, Arika, and Chelsie Schroder.
George and Patsy Waner visited with Vernie and Eugene Konecny during the week.
Friday evening Irene Tajchman accompanied Emma, Duncan, Dwight, and Dustin Davidson to Topeka were they were houseguests of Nancy Davidson for the weekend. Saturday Emma and Dustin drove to Leavenworth to attend garage sales.
The Kevin Hill family attended the open house at school for Cassidy and Heath Thursday evening. Cassidy is in kindergarden in Lost Springs and Heath is in the fourth grade.
Heath Hill was a Friday overnight and Saturday guest of Tyler Klenda.
The Kevin Hill family spent Sunday with Hazel Clothier and were her dinner guests. Kathy Svitak visited with Charlene Svitak during the week.
Kayln Marie Goddard of Newton spent from Wednesday until Sunday with her great-grandmother, LaVada Holub.
Alice Meysing visited with Emma Klenda Sunday afternoon.
Chris Holub is home on leave until Thursday. A party was held Saturday evening at the home of Ruby Vinduska. Those present included Frank, Vera, Chip, and Zach Holub of Halstead and Dan, Ron, Mollie, and Chris Holub.
Thursday evening the Gail Makovec family attended open house for Sheila at Centre Junior High School.
Sunday Gail and Sheila Makovec drove to Newton where they attended a birthday party at the Allen Makovec home. Birthdays celebrated included Adam Makovec, son of Ron and Renee Makovec, and Lawton, Rhett, and Jandi Makovec, children of Alan and Raelene Makovec. Grandma Jane Makovec accompanied Gail and Sheila to the party.
Shaina Makovec attended the FFA officers' meeting in Lincolnville and Melissa attended the FFA Alumni meeting.
Sunday evening the Gail Makovec family attended the Tampa Triple T's 4-H potluck supper and business meeting.
Pat and Dean Bina visited with Agnes Bina Friday evening at Marion Manor. They also called on Pat's folks, Harry and Lorene Nelson.
Sunday evening Pat and Dean visited with Jane and Gene Johnson in Augusta and had lunch with them.
Daniel and Melissa Stuchlik were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Terry Vinduska.
Terry Vinduska spent Tuesday and Wednesday in Goodland where he attended a Kansas Corn Commission meeting.
Millie Vinduska visited with Maxine Svitak Wednesday. Maxine remains a patient at St. Luke Hospital but we are glad to report that she is getting along nicely after her surgery.
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Tajchman spent Saturday moving Jenna into her living quarters at K-State.
Saturday evening Pat and Dean Bina called on Bert and Scott Zogelman in Florence.
