Possible buyers of Florence Health Care are courted
One or more parties are interested in buying the former Florence Health Care building and land at 109 West Ninth in Florence, Braden McCurdy of McCurdy Auction Service, Wichita, said Friday.
However, no sale was finalized at the attempted Aug. 20 auction of the property by the McCurdy firm.
"We're working with an interested party," McCurdy said. In fact, several people at the auction expressed an interest in possibly buying the long-term care property.
If no one buys it, "we may list it and try to sell it privately," McCurdy said. "We're trying hard to get it sold. I know Florence needs it."
The property is owned by a large real estate development company based in Boston, McCurdy said.
