Primary is Aug. 5
Marion County Republicans will go to the polls Aug. 5 to select those who will serve in the state House of Representatives and as sheriff, and who will face a Democrat for the 3rd district county commission seat.
Three Republicans are vying for the House seat currently held by Don Dahl of Hillsboro. Voters will choose J. Robert Brookens or Roger Hannaford of Marion or William Spangler of Burns.
Sheriff Lee Becker is facing a challenge from Robert Craft. Incumbent Randy Dallke is being challenged by Larry Larsen, both of Peabody, in the 3rd district.
Some polling sites have changed, so voters are encouraged to check the map on the back page.
Advanced ballots are available at the county clerk's office from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. until election day. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Aug. 5. For more information, contact the county clerk's office at (620) 382-2185.
