Property damage and drugs reported by sheriff s office

Unknown individuals used a small caliber firearm and shot out a window on a combine sometime between 9 a.m. Feb. 20 and 10 a.m. March 6. The combine is property of Ron Bartel, 949 U.S.-56, Hillsboro. Damaged property was located at 1829 Jade, Hillsboro. Undersheriff Randal Brazil states property damage is $1,000.

An individual was involved in a one-car injury accident on Sunflower just north of 140th at 1 p.m. March 2. The driver was a minor in possession of alcohol and was not wearing a seat belt, reports Undersheriff Brazil.

Between 5:45 and 7:30 a.m. Feb. 20 a domestic violence incident occurred at Florence Motel, Florence. An investigation found the victim to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, states Sergeant Jeff Soyez.

At 10:50 p.m. Feb. 18 a driver was stopped by Sergeant Soyez on 190th in Hillsboro. The vehicle did not have a tag light. Marijuana was found on the back seat of the vehicle. The driver was interviewed and stated alcohol had been purchased for a friend who is a minor. The statement was given under the Miranda Act.

An individual was in a vehicle during a car stop at 10:50 p.m. Feb. 18 at 190th in Hillsboro. During a roadside interview the individual was found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia valued at $25, reports Sergeant Soyez.

Sometime between 12:01 and 7 a.m. Feb. 25, an individual entered property of Nathan Andrew Bailey, 406 North F Street, Ramona, and removed the tailgate off a 1995 Ford F-150. Deputy Duane McCarty states the value of the tailgate is $1,100.

Two individuals were arguing at 12:16 a.m. Feb. 24 at 941 210th, Hillsboro. One individual grabbed the victim's shirt collar and struck victim, reports Deputy Larry Starkey.

At 1:11 a.m. Feb. 28 a driver was stopped at Chicago and Berry streets, Lost Spring for suspicious activity. Deputy Josh Whitwell found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia valued at $46 on the driver.
