Random Thoughts

I guess the holidays got me mixed up. I know I didn't get my article to the paper in time. I have snow on the brain.

I had a fine Christmas with the Hannaford family. No little kids, all grown up. I do love to listen to the Christmas music.

I read in the paper about a baby arriving too early and right on the sidewalk. Made me think of the child in the stable.

I'm still stuck in the Civil War. The writer has done a fine job describing that terrible time.

Do you remember reading the story "Christmas Box"? It was played on TV. It is such a dear, tender story. I think Hallmark presented it. Well done.

The latest tragedy in Pakistan has set the Mideast in turmoil again. The assassination of Benazir Bhutto has set their plans for democracy back. She was such a beautiful, dedicated woman. Those rebels over there just ruin everything.

I was lucky to receive some peanut brittle candy from John and Ella Brose. It is so good I can't leave it alone.

Are you ready for 2008? I'm not. Of course, with the weather like it is, I could use a little of Al Gore's global warming.

I saw a cute cartoon the other day. A man asked after seeing everything made in China, "Don't the Americans make anything anymore?" His wife said, "Well, I made my bed."
