Spring is "oozing" in little by little. How welcome it will be! I have a few concerns about our actions at the present time.
First, I don't like to change my clocks spring and fall. Does that make life any better?
Where will the new playground equipment be placed in Central Park? How about in the south end where the swings and merry-go-round are already placed? Seems logical.
I'm not happy with the lake hall being leased for private profit. It seems we need to keep that for large gatherings such as family reunions and others. Why not use Kingfisher's building? It is already equipped for restaurant use. Think about it.
I'm still reading that big book, "Ike." Seven hundred pages. I'm in the 500-range. It is a close-up record of the way World War II was fought and won. The writer brings in the Civil War and Grant. He even refers to Napoleon and his world war. He, the writer, describes the various generals, their jealousy and competitiveness. Ike and Churchill worked well together. What a miracle, but sad so many gave their lives for our freedom.
