Random thoughts

Dark and dreary days are depressing, but all that goes away when bright sunbeams arrive. That happened to me a few days ago. Two very bright sunbeams entered my life for the weekend. My granddaughter, Karen and her daughter, Taylor arrived from Colorado, full of energy and giggles. Taylor is a senior at the Air Force Academy in Colorado. She is looking for a college. She has found the one she likes — Denver University. Children grow up so fast. Karen and Taylor always have been so close. I hope they won't miss each other too much when Taylor goes away to school. They will be fine.

Did you read about the cat that was stuck up in a tree for five days? The owner couldn't coax it down so called the fire department. When the firemen tried to get something up to capture the cat, it jumped 30 feet to the ground and ran away. It still has eight lives left.

Then there was the Yorkie (small dog) which was stolen from a pet shop. The thief hid the eight-week-old puppy in a large black bag. The police managed to rescue the little dog and return it to the pet shop. The dog was valued at $1,800.

"The sky is falling! The sky is falling!" No, it's a tire coming through the roof. It is thought to have fallen from a helicopter flying high I the sky. Oh my, what is next?
