Random Thoughts

I'm sitting here trying to think of something clever to expound upon. I think of the advice to others who want to write. "Just take pen in hand and paper on the table and just write something and maybe an idea will pop up."

I guess I'll look in the fridge. I know there are some grapes in there. Oh, they are sour and the skins are tough. I really don't care for grapes anyway.

When I think of a Roman scene from a play, I see a beautiful girl feeding grapes to a handsome, young man. They are wearing robes and jewels and lounging on comfortable couches alongside the table on which enticing bowls of fruit set.

What sort of fruit would I choose? Something sweet and juicy. Maybe a beautiful, red strawberry. It seems to me that the strawberries you get at the stores now are big and beautiful but they are not as flavorful as they used to be. Have you ever tasted a strawberry picked right from the garden? They are so sweet and juicy and taste like strawberries should.

I remember when I was a kid and loved to suck on lemons. I guess my tastes have changed. Well, just give me a big, yellow banana. I know they are good for you and sweet to the taste.
