Random Thoughts
When I see someone on a TV commercial eating, then I want to eat, too. Especially when a man and his son are eating Oreos. They break them open, and lick the frosting off the two halves before dunking them in a glass of milk.
Recently, a large truck overturned spilling thousands of Oreos. They were in packages so maybe they were rescued before the kids got there. When I go to the grocery store I'm going to get some. Do you want to join me? I think we could do as good as that commercial.
Not long ago, another truck turned over throwing thousands of quarters on the highway. They would pay for a lot of cookies.
A town in Ohio has a plan for wrapping tree trunks in sweaters and quilts. I don't know if it was for protecting the trees from frost or just for fun.
When Marion chose rhinos for decoration, I thought it was a poor choice. Now that I'm used to them, I've gotten fond of them and watch to see if they have been redecorated.
I wonder if Burns still has roosters for their logo? Cincinnati used to have pigs. I guess they still have them.
I haven't written a word about Memorial Day. I know Marion has a plan for celebrating — a serious plan. Most of the towns in Marion County have plans, too.
We need to stop and think of those who have given so much for us and are still doing it.
