RECIPES: Herbed focaccia
Herbed Focaccia
2 tablespoons yeast
1/2 teaspoon sugar
2 cups warm water
4 1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons fresh herbs
(Rosemary and sage
are Diana's favorites)
3 tablespoons olive oil
In mixing bowl, combine sugar, salt, herbs, oil, water, and two cups of flour. Add yeast and mix well. Gradually knead in the rest of the flour. Let rise.
Form into rounds. Let rise. Spray with olive oil. Sprinkle with coarse salt. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. (Note: Makes great pizza crust to freeze).
