Residents rally around Tampa

Contributing writer

All community residents interested in the improvement of Tampa are invited to attend a meeting of the Tampa Community Association at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the senior center. Carole Spohn collected a small group of people for a meeting at the café July 15, to assess how much interest there would be in forming a community association. Spohn said she was impressed by the large number of citizens who turned out for a meeting about the post office a couple of months ago, so she felt the time may be ripe for organizing for community betterment. Thirteen people attended last week's meeting. The group discussed the community's strengths and weakness and brainstormed ideas for activities and projects. They decided to call an organizational meeting in the evening, when working people can get involved.
