REUNIONS: Meierhoff
A reunion of the descendants of Adolph and Lena (Koegeboehn) Meierhoff was held recently and included a number of nostalgic stops.
Out of state families met June 20 at the home of Donna and Keith Shaw in Reading. Then, a family dinner was held June 21 at the home of Ruth Ann and Joyce Carlson of rural Lincolnville.
After the dinner, a tour was taken to south of Antelope to the 100-year-old plus family homestead, then to the Grant Township Cemetery where relatives are buried, and on to the "Ice" rock house at Clements where eight of the Meierhoff children were born. They also stopped at the place south of Clements where Arnold Meierhoff was killed when he and Ernest Meierhoff were tearing down the Coyne Schoolhouse in 1926.
The last stop was for supper in Osage City.
