REUNIONS: MHS Class of 1972 years ago
The 30th reunion class of '72 "baby boomers" will get underway Friday evening with a pre-game tail gate party from 5 to 7 p.m. at Warrior Stadium.
Following the football game, classmates will relax and socialize at Marion Country Club.
On Saturday, OSD, they will meet at Marion Die and Fixture plant, 421 West Main, for coffee and donuts before riding on their float in the 11 a.m. parade. Those who choose to throw candy to youngsters are encouraged to bring a supply for that purpose. Classmates are urged to dress in patriotic colors.
After the parade, they will meet for lunch in Central Park. they also will tour the new Marion City Library and will participate in the afternoon program, being introduced at the park gazebo.
At 6 p.m. they will meet at Justin Youk's building at the intersection of K-256 and Airport Road (Upland Street). They will enjoy a barbecue meal. A DJ will provide music and karaoke entertainment. If weather permits, they also will enjoy a hayrack ride. Classmates are asked to bring lawn chairs and insect repellent.
