Rhodes, Nelson are students of the month
Molly Rhodes and Casey Nelson have been named students of the month at Marion High School.
A senior at MHS, Molly has been involved in sports, performance groups, numerous extracurricular activities, and community activities.
She is currently a member of the volleyball squad, has been involved in basketball, softball, track, and has served as track manager.
Molly has been involved with choir, band, the MHS Singers, and participates in the school musical orchestra. She is a member of the National Honor Society, leadership team, FEA, and the yearbook staff.
A member of Eastmoor United Methodist Church, Molly is involved in the EUMC Youth Group.
The daughter of Bruce and Brenda Rhodes of Marion, Molly resides at 504 S. Third in Marion. She has one older brother, Matt.
Casey is a junior at MHS. During his time at the school, sports have been a big part of his life.
He has been a member of the Warrior football team since his freshman year, has been involved in wrestling and track two years, and was a two-time state qualifier in track.
Casey also is a member of Key Club.
He attends Marion Christian Church and is a member of the youth group. When he's not busy with school or other activities, he is employed at Spring Valley Farm.
Casey is the son of Steve and Diane Sams and Terry and Sherry Nelson. He resides at 715 S. Freeborn in Marion. He has two siblings, Cory and Cody Nelson.
