Roger Hoffman
Roger Malcolm Hoffman, 78, Marion, died May 18, 2008, at McPherson Memorial Hospital.
Born May 23, 1929, at Hancock, Md., he was the son of Malcolm Hoffman and Nellie (Cubbage) Hoffman Mazingo.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1946-49.
On Jan. 2, 1950, he married Dorothy Waner at Florence.
He worked in aircraft tooling and was co-founder of Marion Die & Fixture. He retired from Cessna Aircraft in 2001.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Patsy Koch; and two brothers, Foster Hoffman and Jeff Mazingo.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy of Marion; son, Wayne Hoffman and wife Wendy; two daughters, Cindy Pierce and husband Rick, and Dawn Buchanan and Mike Carr; four brothers, Calvin Hoffman of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., Dennis Mazingo and Ross Mazingo, both of Hagerstown, Md., and Jimmy Mazingo of Mesa, Ariz.; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Zeiner Funeral Home, Marion.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Florence, with the rosary preceding at 10 a.m.
Memorial funds have been established with the Diabetes Foundation or the building and grounds committee at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Florence.
