Ron Vinduska advances in school career

Ron Vinduska has been promoted to the position of principal of Seaman High School, Topeka.

He is a graduate of Centre High School and the son of Ruby and Lou Vinduska or rural Marion (Pilsen).

Ron holds a master's degree from Kansas State University with additional graduate hours at KSU, Washburn, and Emporia State University. He received the bachelor's degree cum laude from KSU.

He and his wife, Tammy, have two daughters, Staci and Kristi.

Ron began teaching in 1974. He was assistant principal for curriculum at Seaman since 1994 and was assistant principal and athletic director from 1991 to 1994. He formerly coached and taught social studies.

In 1991 he was named "teacher of the year" at SHS.

He will take over as principal on Aug. 1.
