Ruby and Jason Kruse are wed

The marriage ceremony uniting Ruby Joy Goering and Jason Dwight Kruse in holy matrimony occurred at 6 p.m. Jan. 5, 2002, in the Ebenfeld Mennonite Brethren Church.

Pastors Steve Moler and David Goering officiated at the double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Charles and Annora Goering of Marion and the granddaughter of Mrs. Karl Busenitz of rural Newton and Mrs. Jacob Goering of Moundridge. Dwight and Jerrie Kruse of Marion are parents of the groom.

Musical selections were provided by Brenda Jordan, organist and pianist, and Brenda Jordan and Glen Litke, vocalists.

Tapers were lighted preceding the ceremony by the bride's brothers, Joseph and John Goering, both of Marion.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a white satin A-line gown fashioned with a Princess Ann neckline and fitted, raised bodice. The long lace sleeves and bodice were adorned with sequins and pearls. The cathedral-length train featured matching lace appliques, sequins, and pearls. Her elbow-length veil was trimmed with sequins and pearls. The bridal bouquet was an arrangement of white roses and ivy with burgundy accents.

Annie Klassen of Mountain Lake, Minn., attended her sister as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Stephanie Clements of Estes Park, Colo., Carla Hall of Sioux Falls, S.D., and another sister Amy Goering of Marion. Kathleen Goering of Marion, also a sister of the bride, was junior bridesmaid. The attendants wore floor-length burgundy satin gowns fashioned with sweetheart necklines, fitted raised bodices complemented by back streamers with satin roses. Each carried a bouquet of white roses with burgundy accents.

Nathaniel Klassen of Mountain Lake, Minn., nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.

Serving the groom as best man was his brother, Alan Kruse of Marion. Groomsmen were Justin Groening and Ray Helmer of Marion, and Nathan Hoffman of Oklahoma.

Guests were seated by Aaron Helmer, D.J. Ehlers, and Kelly Bernhardt of Marion and the bride's brother-in-law, Heath Klassen of Mountain Lake, Minn.

Gift attendants were the groom's niece and nephew, Lexie and Trevor Kruse, and the bride's cousins, Julia Seibel and Jed Busenitz. Rebecca Goering was the gift supervisor.

Guest book attendants were the groom's sister, Pamala Kruse of Newton and Heidi Bohrer of Shawnee, cousin of the bride.

Kerry Stepanek was the wedding coordinator. The reception coordinator was Sherry Jost.

Hosts at the reception held in the church's fellowship hall were the bride's uncles and aunts, Virgil and Phyllis Litke, Art and Harriet Suderman, and Paul and Elda Suderman, all of rural Hillsboro.

Reception attendants were Megan Bird, Darlene Busenitz, Patty Busenitz, Jamie Helmer, Traci Helmer, Stephanie Holzwarth, Susan Judd, and Melissa Kruse.

Reception servers were Nathan Busenitz, Dustin Busenitz, Ben Busenitz, Cody Busenitz, Tim Busenitz, Dwayne Busenitz, Priscilla Goering, Annette Goering, Katie Goering, Marissa Hungerford, Jessica Seibel, and Jacob Seibert, all cousins of the bride.

The bride is employed at Carlsons' IGA and the groom is engaged in farming and employed by Flamings.

Following a wedding trip to Estes Park, Colo., the couple lives at 1912 Highway 56, Marion.

Rehearsal dinner

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at 7 p.m. Jan. 4 at the Ebenfeld MB Church.
