Sam Brundage

Stan "Whiskey" Brundage, 69, died Jan. 11, 2005, at his home in Peabody.

Born March 15, 1935, in Sidney, N.Y., he was the son of Harlow and Edith (Pratt) Brundage.

He was a truck driver and had served in the military.

Survivors include his wife, Jan of Peabody; a son, Joseph Brundage and friend Lisa Stephens; six daughters, Nan and John Hanan and Lisa and Hector Mosqueda, all of Peabody, Edy and Russ Jost of Hillsboro, Billie Jo and Rick Claassen of Burns, Lynette Brundage of New York, and Lori Southwick of New Hampshire; a sister, June Hatton of Peabody; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Thursday morning at Peabody Christian Church with Pastor Jim Pohlman officiating.

Janet Post was vocalist and Joann Stovall was organist.

Casket bearers were Joe Brundage, John Hanan, Rick Claassen, Russ Jost, Michael Hedrick, and Pat Post.

Honorary casket bearers were Hector Mosqueda, Gary Johnson, and Boyd Viele.

Burial was in Prairie Lawn Cemetery, Peabody, with military honors by a Fort Riley honor guard.

A memorial fund was established with the Make A Wish Foundation.
