Sarah and Patrick Dye wedding
Sarah Lowry, daughter of Gale and Nanette Lowry of Marion, and Patrick Dye of Marion were married at a two o'clock ceremony Oct. 12 at Valley United Methodist Church. The Rev. Kennedy Mukwindidza officiated at the double ring ceremony.
The groom is the son of Derrell and Gabrielle Dye of Florence.
Anita Brookens was organist.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a Nori Lee gown of ivory satin accented with seed pearls and ivory iridescent sequins. The bodice featured a portrait neckline, fitted sleeves, and a Basque waistline. The princess-style skirt flowed into a cathedral-length train trimmed with seed pearls, ivory iridescent sequins, and Alencon lace cut-outs.
She carried a cascading bouquet of gerbera daisies, sweetheart roses, lilies, and ivy in autumn colors accented with wine and ivory ribbon and lace.
Amanda Brewer of Marion was maid of honor. Kelley Schafers of Marion was bridesmaid. They wore Renaissance-style two-piece wine-colored floor-length gowns featuring side-laced bodices with spaghetti straps and covered with matching shawls. They carried nosegays of fall-colored gerbera daisies, sweetheart roses, and ivy with accents of wine and ivory ribbon.
Jeremiah Ciero of Wichita served the groom as best man. Kevin Weigart of Marion was groomsman.
Flower girls were the bride's cousin, Ivy Unruh of Tucson, Ariz., and Emily Schafers of Marion. A nephew of the groom, Cruise Becky of Beverly Hills, Calif., was ring bearer.
Guests were seated by Jameson Dye of Florence and Chris Brewer and Steve Unruh, both of Marion.
Megan Whitaker was the guest book attendant and Hannah Eis was in charge of gifts. Both are from Marion.
Following a reception at the church, a family dinner and dance was hosted by the groom's parents at Stonehaven Bed & Breakfast at Florence.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of Marion High School and plans to enter the Wichita State University teacher education program.
Her husband attended high school in California and graduated from a trade school in Arizona. He is employed by Graber's Heating & Cooling, Newton.
The couple plans a spring wedding trip and lives in Marion.
