Sarah Powell
Sarah Powell, 95, died May 20, 2003, at Tucson, Ariz.
The widow of the late Leslie Powell, Marion automobile dealer, she was an active community worker for years. She also was noted for her hot cinnamon rolls shared with friends.
She was born July 6, 1907, at Morris, Ill. Prior to moving to Marion she was a resident of Peabody.
Survivors include her daughter, Donna Thomas of Goliad, Texas, and son, Lt. Col. Leslie Powell Jr. of Tucson, Ariz., four grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Private funeral services will be held.
