Sassy senior moments

By JANET BRYANT

Senior center reporter

This week has been B.E. and A.E. — before Elvis and after Elvis.

In between we enjoyed at coffee break the birthday cake baked by Aaron Hett for wife, Lanell. Raise your hand if your husband ever made you a birthday cake.

We also spent a couple noon times on a Smith trivia game. The answers all had "smith" in them.

We decorated Jan. 8. Shirley Bowers had brought heart-shaped candy boxes with Elvis on them for the table in the entryway. We were a little giddy with excitement when done decorating.

The next day we celebrated Thelma Blosser's birthday. She had appeared as Ann-Margret the night before.

We have several groups eating lunch here in February. Bring your group in. Check if there's a day there is a program planned. Or plan ahead and ask for entertainment the day your group wants to eat here.

Senior Center Day is Thursday. The program will be Judy Priest and her violin.

Come join us Jan. 24 for lunch. Henrietta Waner will entertain us with piano music.
