Sassy Senior Moments

Are you suffering from cabin fever on some of these winter days? If you can find a way to get to the senior center, come on in for a good meal and conversation to lift your spirits. It's a good place to be.
We celebrated a couple of January birthdays when Edith Pugh and Mary Ann Wiens came in together on Jan. 11 with treats.
There were two groups of card players that day as well. Playing hand-and-foot were Lenora Smith, Larry and Thelma Blosser, Sue Clough, Shirley Bowers, Shirley Moore, and Evelyn Jewett. Evelyn Mott, Viola Kelsey, Eula Colle, and Norma Woerz played pinochle.
Ivanlee Timm has put together and framed a jigsaw puzzle, "Kansas Quilt." It uses the house on the hill pattern and has the counties in Kansas on the blocks. It hangs appropriately near our quilting corner.
We will be providing an AARP driver safety course March 5-6. Watch for more information.
Come join us for lunch Feb. 2. The program will be given by Vonnie Platt. She will be talking about hospice. As an added attraction, she will bring a chocolate fountain!
