Sassy Senior Moments

Thanks to the city crew that cleared our parking lot and Leonard Klassen and Larry and Thelma Blosser, who cleared our sidewalks, the senior center has been easily available for all of us. People getting out of their own driveways was the problem!
Senior Center Day was Jan. 18. We enjoyed the violin music provided by Judy Priest. Shirley Bowers was her pianist.
Darrell and Beulah Weigart provided treats for their wedding anniversary, which was Jan. 23.
Albert Steele brought six baby bunnies six days old Jan. 23. He gave a mini lecture on rabbits and said he'd bring these bunnies back at Easter time.
We have been hearing "amazingly simple home remedies," such as putting a mouse trap on top of your alarm clock to prevent you from hitting the snooze button. That was the day I got up at 7:20 to be at work by 8 a.m.
We have a sign-up sheet for those interested in sitting in on, and trying their hand at, art students working on their class projects. This will begin in February, after lunch.
Henrietta Waner took off her cook's apron, figuratively speaking, and became our program Jan. 24. She played a variety of songs on the piano.
Come join us Feb. 2. Our program will be Vonnie Platt, talking about Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice. She also will bring a chocolate fountain for us to enjoy.
Sue Clough will bring a musical program Feb. 7. Joining us for lunch will be residents of Hilltop Manor.
